FOOD IN NATURE: A Stunning Food Photography Project for Ngoc Suong Seafood & Bar

Duc Bui's "Food in Nature" is a captivating food photography project that captures the essence of fine-dining at Ngoc Suong Seafood & Bar, a modern seafood restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The project draws inspiration from the idea of connecting food closely to Mother Nature, symbolizing survival through the delicate imagery of flowers growing from arid stones.

The project stands out with its unique approach to showcasing the restaurant's new fine-dining menu, conveying the story behind each dish through different layouts and vibrant colors. The use of artificial light in the photoshoot beautifully reflects the freshness of the seafood, creating a modern, natural, and contemporary touch to the restaurant's offerings.

Shot using a Canon 5D Mark IV with a 24-70mm Lens and processed in CaptureOne and Adobe Photoshop, the project involved meticulous planning and research to ensure the perfect lighting, props, and layouts. The 12-hour photoshoot, which took place in September 2020, presented various creative and technical challenges, including sourcing the perfect stones and flowers to complement the imagery.

Recognized for its exceptional design and innovation, "Food in Nature" was honored with the Iron A' Design Award in Photography and Photo Manipulation Design in 2021, showcasing its practicality, industry integration, and contribution to a better world.
