Bergtor's visual identity gets a modern and timeless makeover, inspired by Swiss design principles, and designed by Erika Baczó
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bergtor's new visual identity, designed by Erika Baczó, draws inspiration from the minimal and clean aesthetic of Swiss design, incorporating a simple typography and a duotone color palette of black and fresh green. The rebranding aims to reflect the core values of the company while maintaining a modern and easily memorable look.
The brand identity focuses on quality, featuring a solid grid system and a minimalistic typographic approach. The visual identity visualizes the meaning of the brand name by incorporating symbolism, with geometric elements representing the main lines of a garage door in place of the letter "E" in Bergtor. The design was produced using high-level digital printing on white, recycled paper, ensuring adaptability to different sizes for both digital and printed media.
The visual system, including the logo and other elements, was designed in a vector format, and the main typeface, Gotham, was chosen for its geometric, modern, and solid characteristics. The project commenced in November 2019 and was completed in January 2021 in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania.
Erika Baczó, the Transylvanian-based graphic designer behind the redesign, aimed to create a visual identity that is not only modern and simple but also timeless, reliable, and feasible. The project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that contributes to quality of life improvements.
