Max Chair: A Fusion of Form and Function

The Max Chair, designed by Arthur Casas, is a stunning fusion of form and function. Inspired by the search for complexity synthesized in a few lines, the chair features a backrest and seat that compose the same surface, supported by four vertical supports of varying heights. The chair's structure, made of aluminum, supports a light and slender fiberglass shell, while the base is adorned with certified Sucupira wood. The ergonomic curvature and compact visuals of the chair make it a unique addition to any space.

Arthur Casas and his team faced numerous challenges in realizing the Max Chair, including achieving the ideal curvature and weight for the fiberglass shell. The chair was meticulously designed to support up to 160 kg on the seat and 80 kg on the back without deformation, thanks to the carefully chosen materials. The Solana leather covering the shell further enhances the product's durability.

Arthur Casas, known for his modernist and contemporary design approach, has once again demonstrated his prowess with the Max Chair. The chair's sleek and minimalist design, combined with its innovative materials and robust structure, has earned it the Bronze A' Design Award in 2022, a testament to its outstanding creativity and resourcefulness.
