FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dandan Wang's "Rebirth" is a whale-shaped hand jewelry piece, intricately designed to embody the symbiotic relationship between whales and the marine ecosystem. Inspired by the whale fall, this avant-garde piece seamlessly integrates with the wearer, creating a sense of vitality and interaction.
The main body of the jewelry is hollowed out organically, winding up to the wrist, and features pearl and wavy lines that highlight marine elements, immersing the wearer in an underwater world. Crafted from copper with 18k gold plating, cold enamel, and pearl, "Rebirth" measures 349mm in length, 126mm in width, and 70mm in depth.
The project began in June 2022, with extensive research and multiple model experiments to achieve the perfect blend of wearability and organic structure. The result is a stunning piece that brings together the beauty of nature and the future of organic ecology.
Rebirth is the recipient of the Bronze A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category, recognized for its outstanding creativity and ingenious design that authentically captures the symbiotic relationship between marine life and wearable art. This prestigious award acknowledges the technical and creative skills showcased in "Rebirth," contributing to improvements in quality of life.
