QuNan's groundbreaking clothing design, "Color Change," has won the prestigious Silver A' Design Award for Fashion, Apparel, and Garment Design in 2021.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
QuNan's "Color Change" clothing design is a revolutionary concept that utilizes temperature-varying materials to visualize unseen changes in the human body. The design highlights structural lines and uses stickers to accentuate these lines, creating a three-dimensional plane fabric.
The clothing is made of fabrics that change color with temperature variations, allowing the wearer's body heat, contact with others, or exposure to sunlight to alter the garment's appearance. The project commenced in Guangzhou in January 2020 and was completed in Shenzhen in March 2020.
The garment's unique properties stem from the chemical interaction between individuals, such as hugs, breaths, and kisses, which cause fluctuations in body temperature and energy. These changes, imperceptible to the naked eye, are visualized through the clothing's transformative materials.
The design realization technology involves two distinct materials: a fabric that changes color with temperature and an adhesive tape that remains unaffected by temperature shifts, creating a striking contrast. The garment measures 1500mm x 200mm x 3000mm and represents a fusion of future materials, weaving, and fashion.
QuNan's design overcame the challenge of expressing temperature and its changes through clothing, resulting in a visually stunning and technologically advanced creation.
The "Color Change" design was awarded Silver in the A' Fashion, Apparel, and Garment Design Award in 2021, recognizing its exceptional innovation, technical prowess, and artistic excellence.
