Imilab Eye Caring Lamp: A Smart Solution for Home Safety and Comfort

Imilab unveils the Eye Protection Lamp, a groundbreaking IoT device designed to enhance home safety and convenience. This minimalist geometric lamp not only provides soft, eye-friendly lighting but also features a built-in camera with a physical shielding function, ensuring user privacy and safety.

The lamp's innovative features include automatic brightness adjustment, voice and app control, and a side-emitting light mode to prevent direct glare. It also boasts a scene simulation function to set reminders for children's activities and courses, fostering a secure and nurturing environment for remote interactions.

Constructed using industrial aluminum extrusion and compression molding, the lamp's design prioritizes sustainability and efficiency, with a zero draft angle process to minimize raw material waste. Weighing 2030g and measuring 513mm×150mm×463.5mm, the lamp emits a comforting 4000K color temperature light, promoting a soothing atmosphere for users.

Kaining Li, along with Maofeng Kao and Yajun Wang, led the design team in creating this innovative household smart desk lamp. The project, which commenced in January 2020 and concluded in August 2020 in China, was driven by a deep understanding of the challenges faced by children and parents during the epidemic.

Through extensive research, including case studies, user interviews, and questionnaires involving 100 participants, the team identified key insights to address the safety and well-being of children at home. The design overcame challenges related to the integration of cameras for home security, resulting in a product that prioritizes user privacy and comfort.

Imilab Eye Caring Lamp has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures category in 2021, underscoring its exceptional innovation and technical excellence.
