Peter Kuczia's Solar Skywalks project introduces a groundbreaking concept of cladding pedestrian bridges with aesthetically pleasing, power-generating photovoltaic modules. This sustainable approach not only enhances the urban landscape but also serves as a source of renewable energy, contributing to a more sustainable future for cities worldwide.

The innovative design features over 80 specific configurations using a single rectangular shape of PV panel, enabling the creation of unique and visually striking footbridges. The electricity generated from solar energy powers lighting, elevators, escalators, and e-vehicle charging stations, directly utilizing locally generated renewable energy.

Utilizing thin-film CIGS photovoltaic modules, the Solar Skywalks project ensures electricity production even under unfavorable weather conditions. The lightweight and resilient nature of these modules, combined with retrievable, prefabricated mounting systems, ensures both aesthetic appeal and ease of assembly.
