Salmet Bistro: A Fusion of East and West

Enterior Design Ltd. proudly presents Salmet Bistro, a captivating fusion of East and West, nestled in the countryside of Taiwan. The bistro, situated in a 40-year-old house, embodies the vision of a Taiwanese chef who returned from Italy to introduce an international bistro concept, combining local Taiwanese ingredients with a Western culinary approach.

The design team meticulously preserved and reassembled the original red bricks of the old house, integrating them with metal, iron, and wire to infuse the space with a modern yet authentic ambiance. This innovative approach breathes new life into the traditional building materials, creating a captivating blend of old and new.

Salmet Bistro's design showcases a seamless integration of old and new elements, with the red bricks and dark iron components creating a striking contrast. The design team's meticulous attention to detail results in a space that exudes a stylish and modern aesthetic, while honoring the heritage of the original building.

The bistro's design is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful curation of materials. The integration of stone flooring and wall decorations, coupled with custom-designed stone pieces, adds a layer of vintage texture to the space, elevating the overall ambiance and creating a rich sensory experience for patrons.

Salmet Bistro spans a total of 83 square meters indoors and 15 square meters outdoors, featuring a dining area, bar, kitchen, and restroom. The design seamlessly connects the indoor bar to the outdoor area, blurring spatial boundaries and creating an inviting environment that beckons visitors to experience the unique fusion of East and West.

The bistro, located in Changhua County, Taiwan, underwent construction from June 2021 to October 2021. The design team's meticulous research and attention to detail resulted in a space that seamlessly integrates vintage elements with modern design, offering patrons a comfortable and welcoming environment to savor the chef's creations.

Enterior Design Ltd. is proud to announce that Salmet Bistro has been awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category for 2022. This accolade recognizes the exceptional creativity and innovation showcased in the design, highlighting its outstanding technical characteristics and remarkable artistic skill.
