FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Myoken Ishiharaso: A Timeless Hotel Design

Go Fujita introduces Myoken Ishiharaso, a hotel in Kagoshima, Japan, designed to provide a unique experience of traditional hot springs in a semi-open air space. Inspired by the healing power of nature, the hotel offers a timeless design that eliminates unnecessary decorations and combines natural materials to create a serene and rejuvenating environment.

The hotel features guest rooms with a minimalistic design, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of the lush canyon seen from the window. Traditional crafts such as lattice, Japanese paper, and natural stone stimulate the five senses, while the semi-outdoor space includes a hot spring and a rest area, allowing guests to enjoy the hot springs at their preferred time without any constraints.

With a space area of 119 square meters, Myoken Ishiharaso provides a private hot spring experience 24 hours a day, sourced from the immediate vicinity of the guest room, ensuring a fresh and invigorating experience. The hotel's design is a result of overcoming challenges such as renovating an over 80-year-old building while maintaining its structure and utilizing natural materials for finishing.

Go Fujita, born in Nishinomoya, Japan, is the visionary behind Myoken Ishiharaso. His commitment to creating architecture that evokes harmony and moves people is evident in this award-winning design. Myoken Ishiharaso was honored with the Iron A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that integrates industry best practices and competent technical characteristics.
