FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Designing a Luxurious Urban Escape

Yang-Po Chen's latest project, the Book Ing Bar Zhongshan, is a unique blend of classical elements, light industrial style, and a touch of luxury, creating an urban escape for patrons. Located near the MRT Shuanglian Station in Taiwan, this bar aims to offer a relaxed and tipsy atmosphere, allowing customers to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

The bar's standout feature is a secret door reminiscent of an 'escape room', adding an element of mystery and adventure for patrons. The 10-meter-long bar and alcohol wall create a visually stunning and open space, while the use of cultural stones and old doors adds a touch of history and elegance to the design.

The design team utilized a variety of materials including woodwork, technology leather, marble, iron, cultural stone, old doors and windows, red brick, and drapery to bring the client's vision to life. The space features a black marble countertop, woodworking alcohol wall, and a suede red drape, all illuminated by LED light strips to create a warm and luxurious ambiance.

Despite the challenges posed by the space's structural defects, the designers successfully created a non-partitioned yet luxurious and private experience for patrons. The bar was completed in September 2022 and has been recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design.
