Xiaoshan: A Unique Blend of WABISABI, Minimalist, and Residential Design

Lin Huang Ming's Xiaoshan project is a testament to the fusion of nature-inspired design with modern residential spaces. The 380 square meter project, completed in August 2020 in Hangzhou, embodies the essence of WABISABI, minimalism, and residential aesthetics, creating a unique living space that resonates with nature.

The project is characterized by bionic organic curves, hand-scraped paint, and carefully selected texture furniture, evoking a sense of primitive nature within a contemporary living environment. The design seamlessly integrates natural forms, textures, light, and tactile impressions, creating a space that exudes warmth and tranquility.

Utilizing shadow wood veneer, hairline bronze stainless steel, brown marble, and artistic hand-scraped paint, the project showcases a meticulous attention to detail and a harmonious blend of materials. The specially customized curved ceilings, designed to evoke a sense of movement, required extensive on-site craftsmanship, reflecting the designer's commitment to achieving the perfect balance between cost-effectiveness and design excellence.

Lin Huang Ming's Xiaoshan project has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, affirming its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements. The project stands as a testament to the designer's ability to create spaces that not only reflect contemporary aesthetics but also resonate with the timeless beauty of nature.
