"Stalker" by Camil Octavian Milincu

Award-winning designer Camil Octavian Milincu introduces "Stalker," a thought-provoking chest of drawers that transcends traditional furniture design. Completed in 2021 in Timisoara, Romania, this unique piece challenges viewers to engage in a visual and philosophical dialogue, reflecting the alter ego of the observer. Crafted from beechwood, ash wood, plywood, mirror, galvanized steel, and tinned steel, "Stalker" measures 400mm x 400mm x 1700mm.

"Stalker" is a piece of furniture that defies convention, featuring eleven non-identical drawers concealed behind a vertical dark texture, creating an enigmatic allure. The design incorporates four prismatic mirrors (corner reflectors) that engage viewers from every angle, reflecting their own eyes and drawing them into a captivating interaction.

Recipient of the Bronze A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2022, "Stalker" is a testament to Milincu's dedication to creating designs that challenge and inspire. With its meticulous craftsmanship and innovative concept, "Stalker" blurs the lines between art and furniture design, offering a truly unique addition to any space.
