Makoto Spatial Design Studio's "Relax in Caesar" Redefines Commercial Space Design

Wei-Cheng Chen's "Relax in Caesar" is a groundbreaking commercial space design that redefines the exhibition of bathroom equipment. The concept of water is ingeniously extended to create a sense of rhythm and symbolize the flow of money, providing a unique and engaging experience for visitors. The space features small islands as exhibits, with the floor designed to resemble a river, and the ceiling representing the sky. The design seamlessly blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, offering a refreshing and open ambiance.

The use of architectural concrete, paint, thin plate, stone, system panel, and iron parts, along with innovative materials like Benjamin Moore wear-resistant paint and granite, showcases the meticulous attention to detail and quality in the realization of this design. The 231.4 square meter, two-floor space includes an exhibition area, meeting room, showroom, and private display area, catering to various customer needs and interactions.

Chen's design not only enhances the brand image and visibility but also provides a comfortable and upscale experiential space for visitors. The project, completed in March 2022 in Taiwan, reflects extensive research and creative problem-solving, overcoming challenges related to space utilization and construction complexities. The design's unique blend of bright, rhythmic, and elegant elements has earned it the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award, recognizing its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
