Yongjun Chen, Huang Zhang, and Lei Xu from Jingdezhen, China, have designed Tang Chao, a travel tea packaging inspired by traditional Chinese medical culture, which won the Silver A' Design Award in 2020.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yongjun Chen, Huang Zhang, and Lei Xu have designed Tang Chao, a travel tea packaging that combines traditional Chinese medical culture with innovative packaging structure. The design is inspired by the need for tea boxes during travel and the traditional Chinese medical culture, which promotes physical and mental health through hand reflection area stimulation. The packaging features a tenon-and-mortise structure, eliminating the need for glue and utilizing low-cost bamboo for an environmentally friendly solution.
The small square tea box has a large capacity for tea bricks, meeting the miniaturization requirement of travel tea packaging. The addition of a ring buckle and lanyard allows for various travel scenarios such as hanging, grasping, and carrying. The rounded corners of the bamboo box also serve the function of stimulating the hand reflection area, in line with traditional Chinese medical culture.
The design is not only convenient and environmentally friendly but also promotes health through the stimulation of acupoints, aligning with the principles of traditional Chinese medicine.
