Smart Agriculture: Revolutionizing Rural Revitalization

HOS, a leading design firm, has unveiled its latest project, Smart Agriculture, a demonstration park in Pizhou, China. Inspired by the concept of a seed, the core architectural complex embodies the germination process, symbolizing growth and life. The park aims to reflect the theme of "intelligence" throughout the industrial chain and development process, utilizing 5G technology, big data, and machine technology for intelligent planting and processing.

The park's design features four buildings resembling seeds, with walkways representing sprouted vines and landscape flowers symbolizing colorful life. It encompasses various functions, including an agricultural products processing experience center, agricultural museum, cultural exchange center, tourist service center, smart farm, and science education farm, covering a plot area of 936,271 sqm and a gross floor area of 7,258 sqm.

Smart Agriculture integrates advanced technology with ecological design, aiming to provide an immersive and interactive experience for visitors. The project combines the functions of a future countryside experience area, tourist service center, agricultural museum, cultural exchange center, agricultural products processing experience center, and a lifted observation deck for a panoramic view, creating a technological and ecological pastoral complex.

The project, which commenced in April 2021, is set to be completed in 2023. Located in Pizhou, Jiangsu Province, China, the park is strategically positioned to introduce advanced technology to agricultural production, provide employment opportunities, and boost the local economy. Despite initial challenges, including an undefined design brief and uncertain investment progress, the project has overcome obstacles through flexible construction stages, gradually evolving to meet the demands of rural renewal.
