Hango App: Simplifying Bill Splitting

Den Klenkov's Hango App is an innovative iOS concept designed to streamline the bill splitting process in restaurants. Inspired by the frustration of manually calculating individual shares of a check, Klenkov set out to create an app with a user-friendly interface that simplifies this task.

Hango App sets itself apart with its quick and efficient scanning capabilities using modern technologies such as AR and AI. The clean and minimalistic design enhances usability, while intuitive interactions guide users seamlessly through the bill splitting process. The app's primary focus on this task ensures a straightforward and hassle-free experience for users.

Utilizing software like Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, and Principle, Klenkov realized the app's design at a 1x resolution of 375x812px, tailored for iPhone X. The app's interaction is centered around key steps, including scanning the check, adding participants, splitting items, and refunding payers, with UI animations effectively communicating each action.

The Hango App project commenced in September 2019 in Kyiv, Ukraine, and concluded in November 2019. Klenkov's research involved surveying individuals to understand common bill splitting practices and frustrations, leading to the identification of key features for the app.

Recognized for its ingenuity, Hango App received the Bronze A' Design Award in Mobile Technologies, Applications, and Software Design in 2020. Klenkov's dedication to enhancing user experiences through innovative digital product design continues to make a significant impact.
