Shinji Honda, the innovative mind behind The FRONTIER, has reimagined the traditional Japanese slip-on sandal, "tsukkake," to create Bisole. In response to the declining presence of "tsukkake" in modern Japanese households, Bisole offers a contemporary twist on this cultural footwear, suitable for both indoor and outdoor wear.
Bisole stands out with its minimalist design, a wide range of color options, and the use of lightweight and comfortable EVA material. The non-slip rubber sole and removable, washable insole ensure practicality and ease of maintenance.
The production process involved overcoming challenges related to foam molding with EVA material, ensuring uniformity in size and perfecting the insole-outsole match. The result is a product that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity, offering comfort and style for people of all ages and genders.
