Yan Junjie's Yaoyao Restaurant Unveils Unique Parabola Curve Structure in Shenzhen
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yan Junjie's Yaoyao restaurant challenges traditional dining space with a unique parabola curve structure, redefining the spatial experience for diners. The design, inspired by the fluidity of a fishing net, aims to create a multi-dimensional dining space with characteristics of "art form" and "spatial function." The innovative concept, completed in January 2020, offers a unity space of separation and continuity, enhancing the customer's dining experience.
The 250-square-meter, one-floor interior features a frame structure that integrates tables with the curve surface, creating a landscape of people eating, drinking, and laughing. The design team, including Yan, Yuxing Yi, Yinghua Wen, Liting Yang, Wanhuan Chen, Yixuan Zhang, Benkun Pei, and Junwen Lu, meticulously realized the concept using steel to ensure the smoothness of the curve surface and collaborated with engineers to ensure structural integrity.
YAO Concept Restaurant's innovative approach to dining space earned it the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021. The design not only challenges the traditional distance between tables but also addresses the need for proper distancing in public spaces, especially in light of recent global events. By merging branding design, space design, and service design into one unity, the restaurant sets a new standard for spatial experience in the Chinese market.
