Chao Xu's "Happiness" mooncake package design captures the essence of Shien city's Mid-autumn festival, reflecting local culture and activities, while offering a unique set of gift boxes for La Maison Bakery's new mooncake gift set.

Chao Xu's "Happiness" Mooncake Package
La Maison Bakery introduces the "Happiness" mooncake package designed by Chao Xu, capturing the vibrant spirit of Shien city's Mid-autumn festival. The set of five slightly different box shapes reflects the local characteristics of Hubei, including its architecture, culture, and festival activities.
The package design, realized through hand-drawn Chinese style illustrations, serves as a tool to promote the rich culture of Shien city. Each box in the set features different structures, ensuring a unique and engaging unboxing experience for the recipients.
Chao Xu, a graphic designer with a master's degree in Architecture design from UNSW, led the creative direction for the project. The design team's meticulous attention to detail resulted in a set of boxes that not only serve as food containers but also as souvenirs promoting the cultural heritage of Shien city.
