Quan Yuan's Cool Line: Redefining Liquor Bottle Design

Quan Yuan's Cool Line is a revolutionary take on traditional liquor bottle shapes, combining form and function in a unique and innovative way. The design, inspired by the transformation of 2D lines into 3D space, features a pair of linear tubes that can hold four different base liquors, each distinguished by distinctive bottle colors. The bottles can be rotated and folded at the joints, allowing for reassembly into new 3D forms, enhancing the user experience.

The Cool Line is made using 304 stainless steel and food-grade inner coating for the container, while the outer packaging consists of cardboards, EVA-base, PET-sheets, and acrylic plates. With dimensions of 138mm (width) x 117mm (depth) x 380mm (height), the design offers a perfect balance of aesthetics and functionality.

Quan Yuan's design process involved extensive research and experimentation, including 3D printing, to perfect the joint mechanism and ensure the bottles' capacity and stability. Overcoming technical challenges, such as creating a freely rotating joint and maintaining overall balance, demonstrates the innovative nature of the Cool Line.

Quan Yuan's Cool Line project commenced in Zhengzhou in February 2022 and was completed in January 2023. The design's intellectual property is protected by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, with all copyrights belonging to Quan Yuan.

Quan Yuan, a seasoned designer with 30 years of experience, aims to bring joy and relaxation through unique designs while advocating for environmentally friendly materials. The Cool Line's recognition with the Silver A' Design Award reaffirms Quan Yuan's commitment to excellence and innovation in design.
