FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

International School of Debrecen: A Circle of Innovation

BORD Architectural Studio has unveiled the International School of Debrecen, a revolutionary educational facility designed to foster community and creativity. The school's circular design symbolizes protection, unity, and community, creating a space without divisions to encourage inventive teaching and learning. The innovative space experience and constant presence of nature help students in creative thinking and manifesting their ideas.

The school's energy efficiency concept includes surface heating and cooling, natural ventilation, geothermal heating, and rainwater recovery, ensuring a sustainable and healthy environment. With a net area of 7400 m2 and a capacity for 500 students, the school provides ample space for learning and wellbeing.

After winning the design contest in June 2017, the planning phase started in September 2017 and finished in February 2018. The handover of the construction site took place in June 2018, and the building was completed in the Summer of 2019, opening its doors to students on 1st Sept 2019.

BORD Architectural Studio is a young and successful Hungarian architectural studio, known for its human-centered and sustainable design. The studio's unique atmosphere is designed by Peter Bordas, the founder and lead architect of the office.
