Public Art Space Revives Historical Chengdu Dachuan Lane

Chengdu Dachuan Lane Art Installation, located in Jinjiang District, Sichuan Province, is a testament to the designers' commitment to urban renewal and traditional reproduction. The installation, completed in June 2019, is a historical street connecting the ruins of Chengdu East Gate City wall and Jinjiang Qingling Wharf, spanning over 140 meters.

The installation, realized using 8mm diameter stainless steel copper-plated solid tube factory modulus dislocation welding, provides an interactive space that tells the story of the street, inviting passers-by to immerse themselves in the memories and stories of the area.

Yingjie Lin and Yuanyuan Zhang's innovative approach to the project has earned them the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2020. The installation not only reproduces the traces of historical streets and lanes but also provides a sense of urban memory for the new streets and lanes.
