Office Building Designed for Solar Power Company Embodies "Design the Future with Nature" Philosophy

Akitoshi Imafuku, a renowned designer from Minato-ku, Japan, has been awarded the Silver A' Design Award for the interior space, retail, and exhibition design category in 2023 for the outstanding design of The Soleil Building. This innovative office building, located in Osaka, serves as the headquarters for a solar power company and stands as a testament to the company's commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness.

The inspiration for The Soleil Building came from the serene presence of a giant rock deep in the Japanese mountains. Imafuku's vision was to capture the quiet dignity and spiritual essence of nature within an urban setting. The design concept, "Fusion of Nature and Art," is brought to life through the use of artificial rocks and vertical wooden lattices, creating a facade that exudes a dynamic and spiritual worldview.

The building's infrastructure is aligned with the company's philosophy of "Design the future with nature," incorporating carbon-neutral practices and utilizing solar panels on the rooftop to power the entire building. The ground floor to the 2nd floor features an artificial rock embedding facade that seamlessly merges with a sculpture themed around love, showcasing a harmonious blend of art and nature throughout the entire building.
