Exosuit Storage Shelves: Redefining Storage Solutions

CHY DESIGN introduces the Exosuit Storage Shelves, a revolutionary wall hanging system designed by Dongjie Cao. Unlike traditional wood structures, these shelves feature ultra-thin aluminum material, offering a modern and stylish aesthetic. The versatile clapboard design allows for wall hanging storage in different living spaces, available in a range of colors to suit various interior themes.

With a focus on versatility, the Exosuit Storage Shelves are designed to meet storage requirements in different scenes of daily life. The standardized product specifications cater to diverse storage needs, making it a practical and stylish addition to any space.

The shelves, made from ultra-thin aluminum material, are easy to assemble on the wall and come in multiple size options, providing flexibility for different spatial requirements. Whether in the living room, bedroom, kitchen, or bathroom, these shelves offer functional and aesthetic value, catering to a range of interior design preferences.

The unique trapezoidal hollow design of the shelves not only contributes to their modern aesthetic but also enhances their structural integrity. The Exosuit Storage Shelves project, initiated in September 2020 and completed in December 2020, was showcased at Design Guangzhou 2020, marking its debut in the design arena. The design process involved extensive research to identify suitable materials, ultimately leading to the selection of ultra-thin aluminum for its modern and stylish appeal.

One of the main challenges in the design process was to ensure the ultra-thin and simple design while minimizing the weight of the aluminum clapboard and increasing the load-bearing capacity. Through iterative design and testing, the team successfully achieved the intended design, overcoming technical hurdles to deliver a practical and visually appealing storage solution.

CHY DESIGN is proud to announce that the Exosuit Storage Shelves have been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Furniture Accessories, Hardware, and Materials Design category in 2021.
