New Library Design Unveiled by FENG I-MING

FENG I-MING presents a new library design, "Impression of the Sunset by the Sea," inspired by the beauty of the sunset and the sea breeze during a trip to the seaside. The design aims to capture the gradual aging of the community, resembling the indescribable beauty of the sunset.

The library's unique features include a curved metal structure and stained glass, allowing sunlight to penetrate through the orange-tinted glass, creating a romantic and comfortable ambiance, perfect for reading and relaxation.

The project, set to begin construction in June 2022 in Taipei, faced challenges in realizing the metal shape and stained glass structure, but ultimately succeeded in creating a space that embodies the community's spirit and provides a new symbol for the area.

The "Impression of the Sunset by the Sea" library design by FENG I-MING has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2022 for its outstanding and creatively ingenious approach, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology to contribute to quality of life improvements.
