Rational and Minimalist Fitness Space by Fei Fang

Fei Fang, along with Xiaolin Yang and Xingpeng Zhu, has unveiled the X-Power Gym, a rational and minimalist fitness space covering 520 square meters in Kunming. The design is inspired by the "X" element, symbolizing mystery and the unknown, and aims to create a spark when combined with the concept of a gym.

The gym space is characterized by its unprecedented rationality, featuring straight lines and a grayscale palette with extreme lighting. The design elements are simplified into three kinds: rectangle, polyline, and line surface light source, representing a breakthrough in design.

The project, which started in July 2019 and concluded in September 2019, challenges the conventional emotional and warm-blooded atmosphere of fitness spaces by introducing a rational and calm environment. The design aims to create a subtle "conflict" that gradually captivates visitors.
