Circus-Inspired Gift Shop Unveiled in Macau

Ting Fai Chu, a renowned designer from Macau, has unveiled "Simply," a vibrant and whimsical gift shop that brings the ambiance of a circus to life. Located in Macau, this unique retail space offers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, aiming to bring cheer and fun to customers, especially during the global pandemic.

The 52-square meter space is adorned with colorful designs and a circus atmosphere, making it a magnet for kids and families. The use of GRG curved columns, decorative cone shapes, and a domed ceiling structure creates a visually stunning and welcoming environment. The shop features a variety of souvenir products, candies, and toys, catering to a youthful demographic.

Utilizing simple materials such as wallpaper, ceramic tiles, and special venetian paint, the design perfectly captures the essence of a circus while maintaining a modern and playful aesthetic. Despite facing technical construction challenges, including the fabrication of a curved vertical roller shutter, the project was successfully completed within the timeframe, from March to November 2019.
