Maytoni Unveils "The Sixth Sense" Floor Lamp by Alexey Danilin

Alexey Danilin, lead product designer of Maytoni brand, has unveiled "The Sixth Sense" floor lamp, a groundbreaking design inspired by the concept of proprioception. The lamp features a simplified control system and tactile functionality, making it accessible for individuals with different levels of proprioception.

Designed with a collapsible structure for efficient packaging and resource conservation, "The Sixth Sense" floor lamp boasts a matte black finish with shagreen for a touch of elegance and practicality. The lamp's base, shaped like a cross, allows for convenient placement in any room, while the switches are strategically positioned above the shades for easy access.

Standing at 1500mm in height and crafted with metal and frosted glass, the lamp incorporates LED technology for long-lasting use without the need for bulb replacements. The design prioritizes user experience, with switches designed for simple and pleasant operation, and frosted glass ensuring durability and longevity.

The project, which commenced in April 2021 and concluded in January 2022 in Moscow, was recently showcased at MosBuild 2022 in March 2022. "The Sixth Sense" floor lamp has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures category, celebrating its exceptional innovation and technical excellence.
