Residential Design "Magnificence" by Cheng Ghih Hsiang

Cheng Ghih Hsiang's "Magnificence" is a 234 square meters residence that embodies luxury and functionality. The design revolves around the owner's requests for a spacious dressing room, magnificent marble elements, and a geomantic entryway screen. The project commenced in June 2021 and was completed in December 2021, showcasing the designer's meticulous attention to detail and dedication to creating a real home for the couple.

The unique feature of "Magnificence" lies in its transformation of a four-bedroom layout into three bedrooms, with a focus on expanding the master bedroom to enhance its functionality for the couple, housekeeper, and their cat. The design seamlessly integrates the public and private areas, creating a harmonious living space that exudes comfort and luxury.

The realization of "Magnificence" involved intricate design techniques, such as utilizing stone to create a sense of grandeur in the living room, incorporating wood grain for a calming ambiance in the dining area, and employing reflective materials and clever lighting in the changing room to evoke a boutique quality. The use of titanium plating strips further enhances the light luxury style, adding a touch of sophistication to the overall design.

Cheng Ghih Hsiang's meticulous research and creative problem-solving are evident in the design's technical specifications, such as the cross-nail tiling method for the stone grain floor and the herringbone method for the wooden bedroom floors. Overcoming challenges in the layout, the designer successfully mitigated the abrupt entryway screen, creating a visually comfortable and cohesive space that extends a sense of richness throughout the residence.

"Magnificence" has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2023, showcasing Cheng Ghih Hsiang's exceptional talent in seamlessly blending functionality, beauty, and professional construction practices to create magnificent living spaces.
