Simple Carrier: A Tranquil Residential House Design

Renowned designer Shiming Li brings a unique residential house design, inspired by the tranquility of caves, to life in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The space, spanning 228 square meters, features three bedrooms, one living room, one dining room, three bathrooms, and one dressing room, offering a serene retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. The design is characterized by calm, cool gray tones, curved windows that invite abundant light, and a recessed color palette that exudes peace and serenity.

Utilizing marble, wood grain grille, gray glass, titanium metal laminate hard plastic sheet, stone-like tiles, and titanium-plated strips, Shiming Li has realized a space that balances rationality and sensibility. The design's unique properties include soft furnishings of highly saturated colors and amber light sources, which improve the visual temperature and bring beauty into daily life.

The project was completed in January 2022 and received the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. Shiming Li's design stands out for its creative ingenuity, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology to enhance the quality of life.
