One More Time: A Heartwarming Quarantine Film by Khoo Siew May & Jay Septimo

Khoo Siew May & Jay Septimo present "One More Time," a heartwarming short film created during the early period of the COVID-19 quarantine. The film serves as a letter of encouragement from the Superhero Me community, aiming to spark positivity and reduce feelings of isolation during the pandemic.

The film, narrated by the Superhero Me community, conveys struggles with isolation united by a shared perspective of resilience to encourage everyone facing this global challenge. The project began in May 2020 and was completed in August 2020, with creatives from Singapore, The Philippines, and the US collaborating remotely.

The film, made to play on social media platforms, utilizes a combination of hand-drawn and digital animation techniques. It features a handmade approach that embraces human imperfection, creating an intimate appeal with bright and saturated colors to emphasize the theme of hope. "One More Time" was awarded Bronze in A' Movie, Video, and Animation Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding creativity and technical skills.
