Poetic and Artistic Residential House Design by Byrant Hong

Byrant Hong's residential house design, "Poetic and Artistic," has been awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category for 2023. The five-storey house, located in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, redefines traditional spatial planning by vertically dividing public and private areas, creating a unique living experience for a family of five across three generations.

The design features a seamless blend of Chinese classical poetry and painting, with natural patterns, giant rock veneer walls, and slender wooden shutters adorning the large floor-to-ceiling windows. The second floor, serving as the public space, maximizes natural light with open floor-to-ceiling windows and visually widened spaces through deliberate floor pavement splicing.

Byrant Hong overcame significant challenges in reorganizing the space to enhance indoor lighting and sense of space, creating a remarkable and innovative design that earned the Silver A' Design Award. The project was completed in October 2019, showcasing the designer's exceptional expertise and creativity.
