Introducing Poente, a table lamp designed by Marcos Duailibe, drawing inspiration from Brazilian culture and architecture, culminating in a luminescent product suitable for both homes and workspaces.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Marcos Duailibe presents Poente, a table lamp that encapsulates the essence of Brazilian culture, architecture, and art. The design aims to bring calming lighting inspired by the sunset, utilizing primary geometric shapes to highlight the beauty of natural materials and textures. The lamp is distinguished by its blend of warm and cool materials, including Rojo Alicante marble, walnut wood, brushed brass, and a linen lamp shade, evoking nostalgic emotions and a feeling of familiar comfort.
The lamp, with dimensions of à 360 x H 490, is a testament to the mid-century and 1950s-1960s Brazilian design, resulting in an elegant piece that stands out. The main structure of the lamp is crafted from Rojo Alicante marble and walnut wood, with brushed brass details, ensuring durability and resistance. The lamp is operated through a cable coated in brown fabric with an on/off button in brushed brass, making it simple and easy to use.
The project commenced in December 2021 in Maranhão, Brazil, and concluded in April 2022 in São Paulo, Brazil. Poente represents a harmonious blend of materials and design, overcoming challenges such as the choice of marble to achieve a slender, balanced, and resistant form. The lamp has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, a testament to its outstanding and creatively ingenious design.
