Wei Jingye's Arc Furniture Series

Wei Jingye presents "Arc," a furniture series inspired by the majestic arcs of the Taihang Mountains in Shanxi Province, China. The series comprises a lounge chair, footstool, desk, floor lamp, and display frame, exuding a clean, modern style that captures the essence of the mountain's lines. The furniture's core support structure underwent meticulous mechanical analysis, resulting in a refined and beautified frame, crafted from high-quality white steel and hand-sewn leather.

The furniture's organic white steel frame combined with hand-sewn leather creates a distinct rhythm of straight lines and curves, while the use of clear hard glass panels adds a touch of sophistication. The series' dimensions range from the lounge chair at 1100mm x 700mm x 920mm to the floor lamp at 580mm x 380mm x 1520mm, offering a blend of functionality and elegance.

Wei Jingye's Arc series was developed in Shenyang, starting in January 2020 and completing in June 2020. The collection was exhibited at the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts Museum in Shenyang in June 2020, showcasing the fusion of artistry and functionality. The series received the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its practical and innovative design that meets professional and industrial requirements.
