Kenzo Singer, a structural engineer turned eyewear designer, introduces EyeWris, a revolutionary solution to reading glasses, combining functionality and style.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kenzo Singer, the mastermind behind EyeWris, has unveiled a groundbreaking innovation in the world of eyewear. EyeWris reading glasses are designed to wrap securely around the wrist, ensuring they are always within reach, eliminating the daily frustration of not having reading glasses when needed. The patented bi-stable bridge, made possible by the unusual meeting of structure and eyewear, allows for a seamless transition from wrist-wear to eyewear in just one second.
EyeWris represents a convergence of timeless style and cutting-edge innovation, offering unparalleled convenience and functionality. The world's first bi-stable nose bridge utilizes memory metal to spring open and snap shut, while premium polycarbonate lenses provide best-in-class durability and a range of protective coatings. The Swiss-developed TR-90 frames are lightweight and extremely durable, with flexible temples engineered for comfort on both the wrist and face.
The project, initiated in 2017 in Santa Barbara, resulted in fully functional prototypes by mid-2018, with the first production models completed in November 2021. EyeWris has been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2022, a testament to its remarkable impact on the world of eyewear.
