Transparent: A Chair Redefining Form and Function

Designed by Xuanang Gao, the "Transparent" chair is a revolutionary piece that combines practicality with stunning aesthetics. The chair, made of plastic, wood, high-density sponge, and woven fabric, stands out due to its transparent plastic surface, allowing users to see the entire structure. With dimensions of 790mm in height, 750mm in width, and 700mm in length, it offers a spacious seat surface width of 650mm.

One of the chair's unique features is its wide armrest, providing a versatile space for leaning, placing items, or resting legs. The chair's plastic material and fabric color can be customized, and the mat is easily removable for cleaning and replacement. Additionally, it serves as an adornment, adding a touch of elegance to any space.

The "Transparent" chair project commenced in September 2020 and was completed in February 2021. It is the result of extensive research and creative problem-solving, overcoming challenges related to structural design and user comfort. The chair's innovative design has earned Xuanang Gao the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing her exceptional talent and contribution to the world of furniture design.
