Consentable MT: Redefining Family Hangout

Takusei Kajitani introduces Consentable MT, a multi-purpose dining table designed to revolutionize family gatherings and working experiences. Inspired by the flexibility of traditional Japanese Washitsu rooms, this table seamlessly integrates dining and working spaces, featuring six drawers with narrow gaps for wirings, enabling the storage of digital devices and facilitating a clutter-free environment for various activities. Crafted by Japanese furniture craftsmen, Youbi Co., using traditional methods without nails, Consentable MT embodies the essence of Japanese craftsmanship and functionality.

Measuring 1600mm in width, 900mm in depth, and 730mm in height, this dining table offers a unique blend of digital functionality and sustainable design, utilizing cypress wood, a traditional material experiencing a decline in usage. The incorporation of wiring grooves on all legs and drawers allows for seamless integration of digital devices, promoting a harmonious and efficient family hangout space.

Consentable MT made its debut at IFFT Tokyo Interior Lifestyle in November 2015 and has now been commercialized in 2022, offering families a versatile and sustainable solution for modern living. This innovative design has been awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its outstanding contribution to improving the quality of life through creative and ingenious design.
