IRAN -- /DESIGN/newswire -- Aug 17, 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Unity Ring: A Blend of Minimalism and Neoplasticism

Alireza Merati's Unity ring is a stunning piece of jewelry that draws inspiration from the De Stijl movement, founded in 1917. The design uses basic visual elements such as rectangles and cylinders to create a simple abstract composition through geometry, resulting in a coherent and visually striking piece. The repetition and alignment of rectangles of different sizes, some hollow and some filled, create a rhythmic pattern that conveys a sense of movement and provides a captivating visual experience for the viewer.

The Unity ring is a long-finger fashion ring, crafted from 18k yellow gold, weighing 7.95 grams in total, with dimensions of 20.80 x 18.76 mm. The design process involved 3D modeling and printing, followed by casting to bring the intricate design to life.

Alireza Merati, a talented designer from Tehran, Iran, has seamlessly blended the principles of minimalism and neoplasticism to create a unique piece that stands out in the world of jewelry design. The Unity ring is a testament to Merati's creative vision and technical expertise, earning him the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2023.
