Introducing Sishi Bajie, a modern Chinese restaurant design project by Darble Kong, completed in Nanning from July 2019 to November 2019, which seamlessly blends Chinese cultural characteristics with minimalist design principles to create a unique dining experience.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Darble Kong's Sishi Bajie project is a testament to the fusion of traditional Chinese cultural elements with modern design concepts. The 350-square-meter space features a flowing connection through segmentation and grille, creating a seamless continuity. The use of materials like concrete and wood, along with the incorporation of medicine boxes, ceramics, and carvings, adds nobility and elegance to the space, redefining the traditional Chinese restaurant ambiance.
The design's unique properties lie in its ability to create a four-season dining experience, where food and art collide to form a harmonious atmosphere. By employing simple materials and exquisite modeling, the space offers a new and immersive dining experience, emphasizing the relationship between food and culture.
Through meticulous attention to detail, the design team skillfully matched natural elements with a suitable balance, reducing physical partitions in the space and creating a sense of bulk. The alternating color and shape of the space fully engage diners' visual senses, encouraging them to appreciate the artistry of the environment while enjoying their meals.
Despite the creative and technical challenges, Sishi Bajie stands as a testament to Darble Kong's innovative approach to interior design. The project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authentically blends experience and resourcefulness, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
