Orizzonte 01: Carry the Scenery with You

Hideyuki Kishihara presents Orizzonte 01, a zip around wallet that uniquely represents the sea and sky. The fish leather symbolizes the waves of the sea, while the gradient leather mirrors the changing colors of the sky. The wallet comes in color variations named "L'ora blu (Blue Hour)," "L'ora magica (Magic Hour)," and "Il notturno (Night Scene)," each expressing the sea and sky of different hours.

The fish leather is made from discarded fish skin, while the gradient leather is dyed in layers of color using dyes. The edges are meticulously finished with high strength using Leather Edge Creaser. The wallet's dimensions are W190×H90×D20mm, featuring a coin purse space and top-quality zippers for smooth opening and closing.

The project began in November 2021, with samples completed in December 2022, and pre-orders starting in February 2023. The design not only reduces waste but also adds an interesting texture to the product, showcasing attention to detail and creative challenges overcome to achieve a beautiful gradation.

Hideyuki Kishihara, based in Osaka-Shi, Japan, has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2023 for this innovative creation. The company's focus on utilizing discarded fish skin to create fish leather aligns with their commitment to environmental preservation.
