Rita Kettaneh Unveils Palette, a Modular Table for Color Mixing, Inspired by the Works of Josef Albers
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rita Kettaneh introduces "Palette," a dynamic and modular coffee table designed for color mixing, inspired by the iconic works of Josef Albers. The table's top layers can be interchanged, allowing users to experiment with color combinations and create new moods within their space. The project commenced in December 2018 in Kornet Chehwan, Lebanon, and was completed in February 2020 in Mazraat Yachouh, Lebanon, with the final prototype. The table's unique design and functionality make it a standout addition to any interior.
The Palette table is a unique piece of furniture that encourages users to engage in color experiments, drawing inspiration from Josef Albers' "Homage to the Square." The table's top section is made of steel sheets that are CNC laser-cut and bent with a press break, while the base is constructed from stainless steel. The top is powder-coated and includes two acrylic sheets, allowing for a playful and interactive color mixing experience. The table's modular and dynamic nature enables multiple tables to be arranged side by side, offering users the flexibility to tailor and refresh their space based on their preferences.
