Limonio: A Modern and Sophisticated Dining Chair

Renowned designers Justin Wheatcroft and Jose Ballesteros have unveiled their latest creation, the Limonio dining chair. Inspired by the great designs and shapes from the last century, this chair explores new minimal frames with integrated distinctive details, offering a fresh and soft yet characterful design. The chair will be exhibited at VIFA (Vietnam) in March 2020.

Its clean lines, contrast between a fine simplified biomorphic shaped back and thin yet strong legs, and lightweight appearance make it a modern and sophisticated design piece. Crafted with postindustrial approach, the chair gains its lightness through a strong tapered stance and high-density foam, with connections between the bent plywood backrest and seat made via solid wood trapezoids pegged with brass. The chair's dimensions are w480 / d530 / h760 and it is packed two in a box.

This chair exudes character, confidence, and humor, yet it happily sits alongside pieces of different styles and personalities. Developed between Barcelona and Ho Chi Minh City over ten months, the Limonio dining chair perfectly embodies the mixed production practices of technology and craftsmanship. It is a unique piece that introduces new ideas and defines its own design space with its brass pinned trapezoid connectors and mask-like shape of the backrest.
