A' Design Award Winner Jianhe Wu Transforms 40-Year-Old House into a Sunlit Haven
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jianhe Wu, under the TYarchistudio brand, has revitalized a 40-year-old house in a narrow alley in Kaohsiung city, Taiwan. The design prioritizes natural light and safety, featuring a unique façade with QR-code openings and glass bricks to address both lighting and security concerns.
The 195 square meter space has been transformed into a sunlit haven, utilizing Japanese cypress, solid wood, and bamboo carbon paint to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The use of BIM technology and a focus on natural materials reflects Wu's commitment to innovative and sustainable design practices.
The renovation, completed in October 2020, has earned Jianhe Wu the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021 for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. This recognition highlights the project's exceptional creativity, technical prowess, and positive impact on its occupants.
