FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Shi Zhe Lo's Gospel Project: Church Design with Chinese-style Screen Exterior

Shi Zhe Lo's Gospel project is a 496 square meter church located in a city by the sea, featuring a Chinese-style screen exterior and twelve pillars symbolizing the Twelve Tribes of Israel. The design aims to establish a relationship between people and the church by merging these elements into the architecture.

The project's realization involved a focus on safety, with increased concrete weight, thicker rebar, deepened and widened raft foundation, improved concrete resistance to acids and alkali, and increased waterproofing. The design also incorporates caulk highly resistant to acids and alkali.

Challenges such as legal restrictions and the region's longer dry spells were overcome by creatively repurposing space and designing water storage solutions. The building's shape promotes natural ventilation, reducing the need for air conditioning, and LED lighting is widely used to minimize energy consumption.
