Lanzhou Wanda City Exhibition Center Designed by Liliang Shan

Liliang Shan's design for the Lanzhou Wanda City Exhibition Center beautifully integrates local cultural and geomorphologic characteristics, creating a modern and elegant space that reflects the essence of Lanzhou's cultural and geographical significance. The 3000 square meter project, completed in October 2019, showcases the seamless blend of western modernism aesthetic views with the traditional eastern expression, using precise materials and a profound design concept to achieve a unique and elegant layout.

The design draws inspiration from the Jade belt in the sunshine and red massifs, typical Danxia landform, and the cultural business card of Lanzhou, incorporating peaceful and smooth curves, graceful structure, and exquisite materials to create a lasting and rhythmic space mood. The project's elevator hall features de-stylized design with artistic installations, highlighting the space implication of field domains with vivid artistry.

Shan's design for the Exhibition Center overcame creative and technical challenges, presenting a unique and elegant atmosphere through the use of champagne gold and modernist elements, breaking the monotony and dryness of color matching and modeling. The project reflects the designer's determination and efforts to boost the local economy, earning the Silver A' Design Award for its outstanding expertise and innovation.
