HuangRan's Patron Saint Wine Packaging, designed by Lynn Tsang, subverts stereotypes with fashionable design methods, aiming to attract young consumers with its Chinese fashion style and high-quality rice wine.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lynn Tsang's HuangRan introduces the Patron Saint Wine Packaging, featuring the Green Dragon, the White Tiger, the Vermilion Bird, and the Black Tortoise, representing ancient Chinese mythology. The packaging uses anthropomorphic methods combined with elements of Chinese opera to create a new image of the four patron saints, subverting their stereotypes in people's minds.
The packaging is made using printing with Silverâfoilâpaper, MattâLamination, UV Coating, Hot Stamping, punctured, and Painted glass bottles. The corresponding part of the outer box is hollowed out to make the packaging more layered. The outer box measures 220mm x 160mm x 160mm.
The project started in September 2019 in Changsha and finished in February 2020 in Changsha. The design aimed to change the humble and poor impression of Chinese traditional rice wine packaging through fashion design, hoping to make modern young people understand and accept Chinese culture.
Lynn Tsang, the design director, is known for his strict design works and has won numerous design awards, including the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020 for the Patron Saint Wine Packaging. Lynn Tsang hails from Changsha, China, and has worked with many well-known brands, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the design industry.
