Cheng Yu Hsieh's Taicang Readzone Bookstore, a 368-square-meter circular theater form bookstore, has reimagined the urban reading experience. The design, completed in June 2021, seamlessly integrates the third space concept into traditional culture, creating a micro cultural center in the heart of the city. The bookstore's circular theater form, towering mazy book walls, and multi-directional door frames resemble urban street scenes, inviting readers to explore and discover new literary adventures.

The innovative design accommodates readers of all backgrounds and ages, offering a variety of reading scenarios, including individual reading, parent-child reading, and working meetings. The rearrangement of cabinets, tables, and chairs facilitates literary salons and cultural exchanges, creating a high-range experience for visitors. The bookstore's unique design also incorporates surrounding cafes and reading products, providing a multiplex experience for customers.

With a focus on promoting brand recognition and creating a compatible and friendly reading environment, the circular theater form fosters human flow interaction and connects various reading scenarios, including official business, parent-child activities, and relaxation. The design's circular motion trend diffuses outward in radial patterns, offering abundant reading experiences for visitors.

Cheng Yu Hsieh, the design director of CHS Design, has always adhered to a humanistic design philosophy. The Taicang Readzone Bookstore reflects this philosophy, using natural materials and innovative spatial concepts to convey culture and art, enhancing the aesthetics and taste of life. Hsieh's design has been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2022, showcasing the remarkable impact of this trendsetting creation on the world of interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
