WEAVING: Interactable Silk Scarf

YE Feng's WEAVING draws inspiration from the rich history of silk scarves, infusing traditional Chinese weaving techniques into a modern, interactive design. The silk scarf offers users a unique, three-dimensional experience, allowing for up to 16 different visual effects through the manipulation of its warp and weft weave.

Utilizing digital printing technology, the scarf is brought to life with high-quality, personalized prints. With dimensions of 1000mm *1000mm, the scarf provides ample space for creative arrangements.

Operating the scarf is simple and engaging, as users can manipulate the tapes to form various arrangements, offering a fresh and dynamic approach to silk scarf usage. The project, which commenced in April 2021 in Tongxiang, China, was completed in December 2022.

YE Feng's innovative approach not only breathes new life into traditional Chinese culture but also addresses the stagnation in silk scarf innovation, providing users with a revitalized and culturally rich product.

YE Feng, hailing from Hangzhou, China, has been recognized with numerous design awards, including the prestigious A' Design Award for the Interactable Silk Scarf.
