Kinematic Konnection: Reflective Garment Inspired by Ballet

Anna Vescovi's Kinematic Konnection garment, part of her senior thesis, is a reflective masterpiece inspired by her 15 years in international ballet companies. The garment is a reflection of the physical and emotional confinement experienced by dancers, incorporating minimalist craftsmanship and appreciation of textile design.

The Kinematic Konnection garment is a unique piece comprised of laser-cut acrylic pieces, symbolizing the struggle of fitting unrealistic cosmetic standards of physical image in the ballet industry. It pushes technical boundaries through intentional juxtaposition, representing the contrast of kinetic freedom and restriction.

The garment is meticulously crafted using Adobe Suite files and laser-cut from a "smoke" colored acrylic sheet, joined with hundreds of assembled gold jump rings. It measures 3.5' in length and 2.8' in hip width, designed with inclusivity in mind, allowing for customized additions or reductions.
