Architect Masahiko Sato Unveils the Unique N12 House in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Architect Masahiko Sato has unveiled the N12 House, a stunning residential project that redefines modern living in Japan. The N12 House, located in the chaotic yet picturesque Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture, stands as a testament to innovative design and functionality, offering a serene oasis for relaxation and quality time with family and friends.
Unlike traditional residential designs, the N12 House integrates a built-in garage, reflecting the owner's passion for his car collection. The second floor features a spacious living room with expansive windows, creating a sense of openness and connection to the surrounding environment.
The N12 House boasts a unique realization technology, with red cedar boards adorning the interior and extending to the terrace balcony, enhancing the feeling of spaciousness. The open plan concept and strategic orientation towards scenic views provide residents with a truly immersive experience, ideal for weekend getaways.
Spanning an area of 556.05 sq. meters, the N12 House adheres to building regulations while offering a sculptural form with inclined walls supporting the extended roof. The project, which commenced in September 2017 and concluded in April 2019, overcame technical and regulatory challenges, particularly in earthquake-prone Japan, to deliver a one-of-a-kind residential masterpiece.
Architect Masahiko Sato, renowned for his innovative wooden designs, has once again pushed the boundaries of architectural excellence with the N12 House. This project has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, celebrating its creative ingenuity and contribution to enhancing the quality of life through exceptional design.
